Signal To Noise is a blog about music production written by Chris Smith (aka Hyphen) an Australian electronic artist.
Chris entered the music scene in quite an indirect way, being crowned Australia’s No.1 Stage Magician and club performer saw Chris perform at some of the biggest events in Australia. 2006 saw the birth of Majex Live a show which combined the minds of Adam Gillet, Aaron Blishen and Chris Smith, Majex was born from a strong urge to rise above the current trends in the mediocre clubbing environment. The artists behind the show teamed up to produce a theme for Majex; music and magic tailored for an unforgettable experience. Over the last three years the group have worked diligently to perfect the concept that is unique to any scene in the world. The culmination of talents, under the umbrella of performance gives birth to a new sound. A new experience. A new way to feel the magic, the mystery and the moment that is rave culture.
Majex became known very quickly for their unique approach seeing them perform @ Earthcore Brisbane in 2006.
Today Chris focuses on forging new sounds into his tracks and freshening up the club scene, bringing a new feeling to dance floors all around Australia as he assures us that Signal to Noise will be with him every step of the way.
Signal to Noise is looking for talented individuals to help create a new level in sound, these individuals must be passionate and have a sharp ear for music. SNR intends to help great talent grow and rise above the crowd (Noise) and get their sounds (Signal) heard.
